Built on the same Modular Scalable Platform as the MG4 electric hatchback and Cyberster electric roadster, the MG S5 features a rear-wheel-drive layout and independent suspension—enhancements that significantly improve handling, stability, and comfort. It is also the first in its segment to offer this suspension setup, ensuring a smooth and dynamic ride.

All three variants of the MG S5 are powered by a 99 kW electric motor. The base model comes with a 49.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a WLTP range of 340 km, while the higher-spec 62.2 kWh version extends the range to 430 km. The EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 175 km/h, making it one of the most exciting options in its class.

A standout feature of the MG S5 is its ultra-thin battery pack, the slimmest ever seen in Nepal, measuring just 110mm thick. Developed in partnership with CATL, a global leader in battery technology, this design enhances the vehicle’s aerodynamics and interior space. Additionally, the battery has passed rigorous safety tests, including nail penetration, ensuring top-tier durability.

Bookings for the MG S5 EV are expected to open soon, with the entry-level 49.1 kWh Comfort variant priced below Rs 49 lakh, while the higher-spec models are estimated to range between Rs 50-60 lakh.
